Hello, John’s Jeans shop speaking.
Good morning, I am Anna, is this the manager speaking?
Yes, I am the manager. I am the owner of this shop. How can I help you?
I am looking for a Saturday job. Have you got a job for me?
How old are you Anna?
I am thirteen.
You can’t work in the shop, you are too young.
But you can help at the back of the shop. This is a very big
building. On Saturdays there aren’t any cleaners and nobody
has got time to clean the back. Nobody can make a good cup of
coffee on Saturdays. We are selling the things in the shop and
have only got little time for lunch.
I am just learning how to make a good cup of tea and coffee.
And my mother is teaching me how to prepare the best
sandwiches. With ham and cheese and tomatoes and healthy bread.
That is very nice. Can you come to the shop for a job interview now?
What time is it?
It’s a quarter past nine.
Sorry, I can’t come now. There isn’t enough time left before I am going to school.
Can you be here at three o’clock this afternoon?
No, I’m sorry. I have got an appointment. I am going to the dentist at a quarter past three, sorry.
Can you come at seven o’clock in the evening?
Yes, I can. Can I bring you anything?
Well, if you say you can prepare good sandwiches …… :)
