Lesson 2 WHAT A DAY THAT WAS!!
As you know, Ben and I had a day out with Ben’s uncle yesterday.
We needed nothing but our swimming things. We had a very exciting day!Uncle Dennis arrived at Ben’s place at 10 o’clock in the morning. We talked a lot in the car, it was an hour’s drive. We looked outside at all the beautiful things. There were many small lakes with lots of wooden houses. Every house had a small boat. Many people were already on the water fishing, we saw people swimming and making fun in the water or just playing outside. There were also many children because most schools had an extra day off yesterday.
At uncle Dennis’s log cabin there were more children. His own children were there and also other cousins. That was a nice surprise! All the children were between 8 and 14 years old and everybody was very happy to be there. The best thing of all was that there were a few uncles too, but no mums! Mums are always so protective and tell us what NOT to do and to be careful ….

We had a very very very nice day. It was awesome! We had so much fun with all the other kids. There were lovely things to eat, like hamburgers and rolls with ham and cheese. There were lots of fizzy drinks to choose from. We ate and drank too much ….
Another surprise was that we had a big barbecue instead of going out to dinner. That was amazing!
We left at seven pm and came home at half past eight. This really was the best day ever!!!
