UNIT 3
Lesson 3 I forgot to call you yesterday
Hey Mick! Nice to see you! How are you today?
Hi Jill, nice to see you too. I’m fine, thanks. And you?
I’m OK, thanks. I wanted to call you yesterday but I forgot.
What did you want to call me about?
I wanted to ask you if you would like to go skiing
with me and some others.
Wow! Skiing! Where? When? Why? I love skiing!!
I know! I love skiing too. That’s why. I talked to Henry last week and he had a very nice idea.
Tell me all about it. I’m very curious to know all about his idea. And excited!

He said that he would really like to go to Austria for a week this winter.
But he also told me that he didn’t have the money for it. Skiing is very expensive, as you know.
So? I can’t afford that either. Did he come up with an idea to earn
the money?
Yes, he came up with a brillant idea. He said that he wanted to earn
money and help people at the same time. He told me about children
who didn’t do too well at school. Elementary school children I mean.
And what did he want to do with them? How did he think to earn money
with that?
He thought that we could offer the children’s parents to help their
children for an hour after school every day.
That’s a good idea! Maybe there are more things we could do to earn money.
Let’s meet tonight and talk about it!
OK. I will send everybody a Whatsapp message. What do you think about 7 o’clock at my place.
I’ll be there. See you at seven! Thanks for asking me, Jill.
