UNIT 3

Lesson 1    WHERE WERE YOU??????

Ben:           Ah, there you are. I can never find you when I need you!

Andy:         Well, I can't help that, can I?

Ben:           No, you can’t, I am sorry. You’re right.

Andy:         What’s up?

Ben:           I wanted to know where you were because

my uncle called me an hour ago.

Andy:         What for?

Ben:           He wanted to ask if we were at school today.

Andy:         Why did he want to know that?

Ben:           Because he is going to the lake today

for some swimming and fishing. Fishing is

                    his favourite hobby.

Andy:         At what time is he leaving? Can we still come?

Ben:           Yes!! You were here just in time to call him that we are

                    coming with him.

Do you think your mum is okay with it?

Andy:         Sure. She was still at home five minutes ago, so I am going

to ask her now and come back with my fishing gear and

                    swimming trunk.

Did your uncle ask us to bring something to eat?

Ben:           No, that’s the best part. He is taking us out to dinner this

evening and he is taking a picnic basket filled with food.

He only wanted us to bring a towel and swimming clothes.

Andy:         Wow! This is going to be the best trip ever!!
