CONVERSATION SHEET UNIT 1 LESSON 4 - STREET PARTY

A: Hey …... How are you?

B: Hi …... I'm fine. It's good to see you because I want to tell you           something.

A: Right, same here. I want to tell you something too. But you tell         me first.
B: When I came home from school yesterday my mum was                   reading a flier. It was an invitation to next week's street party.
A: Wow, that's exciting. What are you going to do at that party?

B: There is going to be a barbeque and we are going to play lots of      exciting games.

A: What kind of games?

B: We split up in groups and do some kind of quiz. We have to             answer questions on sporting heroes and recognize logos and         things like that.

A: Sounds interesting! And then?

B: Then we are going on a treasure hunt. We get a piece of paper       with a route on it. But the description of the route is in riddles           and hints.

A: That sounds kind of difficult.

B: It is! But that's the nicest part! Finding the treasure is really               difficult, that's why it's it is such an interesting game. With good       prizes too.

A: Like?

B: Like tickets for the cinema or a football match. But what did you       want to tell me?

A: I wanted to tell you that my parents are going away for the               weekend. That's why I wanted to ask you if I could stay with you       next weekend.

B: Yes, of course you can. But there's one problem: You will have          to go to the street party as well!
