CONVERSATION INVENTIONS

 

 

A: Hey … How are you?

B: I’m fine. What about you?

A: I am really OK! Over the moon really.

B: How come?

A: Well, I invented something completely new last week.

B: Wow, you did? That’s fascinating. What did you invent?

A: I am not going to tell you, come with me and see for yourself.

B: OK This is really exciting! Ehhhhhh, what’s this supposed to be? I can’t see what the                    invention is… the only thing I see is a bed???

A: Yes, but this is a special kind of bed. Do you see the alarm clock attached to it?

B: Yes, well…..? What is the use of the alarm clock?

A: I will tell you the whole story. I can never get out of my bed so I am late every morning.

B: Okayyyy, so?

A: I had detention every day and I was really fed up with that.

B: So?

A: I invented a way to get out of bed without any problems.

B: Are you going to tell me or do I have to keep on asking questions????

A: All right. The alarm clock is attached to the bed and when the alarm clock goes off the top         side of the bed goes up into the air so much that I will fall out of bed if I don’t get out                 myself.

B: OK but then you can get right back into bed again, can’t you?

A: No, I can’t because I have put a timer into the device that lifts my bed, so it will stay up for        an hour before it goes down again.

B: Wow,  this is an amazing invention. What a good idea!

A: I think so too. I haven’t been late since then. Isn’t it marvelous?

B: Well, that must save you loads of time!

A: It does, so let’s go to town to have a cup of tea.

B: Good idea again!
