That is the girl ….. I gave money. This is the girl WHO I gave money.
Als het betrekkelijk vnw (dus who of which) op een persoon slaat, dan krijg je WHO
That’s the bus ……. had an accident. That’s the bus WHICH had an accident.
That’s the bus …… I missed. That’s the bus WHICH you missed.
Als het betr vnw op een ding of dier slaat, dan krijg je WHICH.
That’s the man ........... daugher had an accident. That’s the man WHOSE daugher had an accident.
That’s the girl .......... bike was stolen yesterday. That’s the girl WHOSE bike was stolen yesterday.
Als het betrekkelijk vnw gaat over iets dat van iemand is dan krijg je WHOSE
MAAR: Als achter WHO/WHICH een nieuw onderwerp (dus niet meteen een werkwoord) staat, dan mag je WHO/WHICH weglaten.
Dus: This is the girl WHO I gave money = This is the girl I gave money.
EN: That’s the bus WHICH you missed = That’s the bus you missed.
MAAR: Als het zinnetje met WHO/WHICH tussen komma's staat, dan mag je WHO/WHICH NIET weglaten.
Dus: The woman, WHO I gave money to yesterday, asked for money again.
The bus, WHICH was late this morning, had an accident later on.
