CONVERSATION BEACH DAY

A: Hey ……. How are you today?

B: Great! And you?

A: I feel good! The weather is so beautiful today after days of rain so I am really          happy.

B: Exactly what I feel too! What are you up to today?

A: Well, I have got to work first which I don’t like today. But my manager asked me      yesterday morning to come and help out today and I said that I would so I              have to.

B: What a pity to have to work on such a beautiful day. Until what time do you            have to work?

A: I told him that I would help him out but only until 2 o’clock in the afternoon, so      that’s not too bad, is it?

B: Okay, there’s still time to enjoy the day. Jack and Mary and me are going to the        beach this afternoon at 1 o’clock. I would like you to come too.

A: Oh yes, I’d love to join you. We always have lots of fun together.

B: Super! After the beach we want to go shopping at a supermarket together and      prepare a meal at my house. My parents have gone away for the weekend so        we,ve got the place to ourselves. What do you think?

A: Wow, that’s a good idea. I haven’t got any plans for the rest of the day so that          suits me fine. Where have your parent gone to?

B: They went to Brighton last year and they loved it so much that they wanted to        go there again.

A: When did they leave?

B: They left on Friday morning and will be back next Monday evening.

A: Have you ever been to Brighton?

B: No, but I have been to Hastings on a school trip. I think Hastings and Brighton        are similar. They are similarly situated.

A: Well they are, but Hastings is more an old peoples town and Brighton is much        more modern. Lots of restaurants and places to go out. I went to both towns a      few years ago. Well, I have to go now. Work starts in 15 minutes. Bye!

B: OK See you this afternoon in front of the Beach House. Bye!
