CONVERSATION CHOCOLATE

A: Hey ….. Nice of you to come straight away.

B: Hi ….. How are you?

A: I am OK. I wanted to ask you if you would like to come over to my place Saturday        the 14th.

B: Yes, I would. But why? What’s up?

A: Yep! It is my birthday then and I want to throw a party that evening. I wanted to          ask you if you and Jenny want to help me preparing everything for the party?

B: Of course. What did you have in mind? Only drinks and snacks?

A: This year I am allowed to have everyone come in at 5 o’clock and have dinner              together. But I don’t know what to serve and that’s where you come in.

B: I will gladly help you! We could do a barbecue in the garden. Is that a good idea?

A: Sure! I love that. I think everybody loves that. What about chicken wings?

B: Delicious! And what about barbecue sticks with all kinds of sauces? And fish?

A: I think kids like us only like eating fish fingers.

B: OK and some tasty salads would be nice too.

A: And then desserts! I love desserts!

B: What kind of dessert do you like most?

A: My favourite is anything with chocolate. Chocolate pastry or chocolate ice cream.       But what I would really like is marshmallows with a chocolate fountain.

B: That would be awesome, but also terribly expensive.

A: I know, but my dad promised me I could have one.

B: So he will pay for it?

A: Yep, he told me I could throw a party with a barbecue and a chocolate fountain.         He told me yesterday that he had looked up how much it costs and how it works.       He also promised me to pick it up and get it working.

B: That’s great! Maybe we could also buy fruit like strawberries

     and pineapple to dip in the chocolate.

A: Sounds good.

B: And what about drinks? Can we make some kinds of cocktails?

A: Well, I had to promise to my parents that we are not going to drink

     any alcohol.

B: Of course we are not doing alcohol. I meant alcohol free cocktails.

A: What an amazing idea! I was right to ask you to help me out with this party. You’ve     got such good ideas!

B: Thanks. I love doing things like this. Well, let’s start writing down our shopping            list….
