He isn’t singing

 

They are playing now.

Are they playing now?

They aren’t playing now

 

work / works (s for  she/he/it)

always/never/sometimes/often

You always walk to school

Do you always walk to school?

You don’t walk to school.

 

He often works hard.

Does he often work hard?

He doesn’t work hard.

 

A question in English has to start with an auxiliary. (Of course what/where/ why etc can be first.)

There must also be an auxiliary in a negative sentence.

 

Auxiliaries: BE -HAVE - CAN - MAY - MAY - MUST - WILL - SHALL  - DO (am/is/are/has/have/can/could/may/might/must/will/would/shall/would/should/do/does)

 

If there is NO auxiliary in the sentence, you must use DO or DOES with the infinitive (hele ww). So no S
