Did you know                    that cyberbullying is one of the most common online dangers, and kids and teens are particularly susceptible because they tend to take their tormentor's words to heart and resist     confiding in their own parents.

Organising your time

Did you know that children now spend more time with the media via Internet and mobile technology than they do with their family, in school, or sleeping. A 2012 a nationwide survey conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that in just five years, media use has increased from 6 ½ to nearly 7 ½ hours a day in children between the ages of 8 and 18. As if this weren’t frightening enough, children also tend to be master multitaskers, using as many as three technological tools at once to browse through their digital lives.

Students: How to Stop a Bully

                                        Akira from Japan

When someone tries to bully you, it is scary. Here are

some things you can do if you are being bullied by another

      student.

First, try not to be afraid if a bully bothers you. Why? A bully likes

to bully people who are afraid of him, so try not to show the bully

that you are scared of him.

Second, try to make friends. That is the best way to stop a bully. Why?

A bully likes to bully people who are alone. If you are always with friends, he will probably ignore you.

Third, work with other students to stop the bully. Why? You need to work together to stand up to the bully and show him that no one likes him when  he bullies.

Fourth, if you see a bully attack another student, help that student.

Support him and ask him to join your group. Why? This will help him,

and it will also help make your group strong.

Finally, when someone bullies you, tell people you are being

bullied. Tell your friends. Tell adults like your parents and

your teachers that you are being bullied. Why? This may

make the bully worried and he may stop bullying.

If you do these things, you will enjoy school

                                  more.
