A: Hi … how are you?

B: Hey ….. I am fine, thanks.

A: I am very happy to go to school again. What about you?

B: Well, not exactly. I am still tired. School is not that bad but I hate alarm clocks!

A: Yes, that was one of the best parts of the holidays. I have been thinking a long time about what to wear today.

B: Why is that?

A: Because my parents taught me that you can  only make a first impression once.

B: Yes, they are right. So what did you choose to wear today?

A: I picked out my nicest jeans and a T shirt with this lovely jacket.

B: Well, you chose the right things to wear, you are looking good!

A: And what about you?

B: I had to wear this old outfit because my mum didn’t have the time to go shopping with me. But she promised to go shopping with me next Saturday.

A: What do you want to buy?

B: I would really want a pair of the most modern jeans with tears in them, but I don’t know if my mum will agree to that.

A: Oh yes, I understand that. My mum doesn’t want to buy me tattered jeans either! She told me to go and tear up some of my old jeans.

B: Yes, that’s what my mum told me as well. Mums are sooo old-fashioned.

A: Right, there’s the bus. Let’s get on!
