UNIT 3

Lesson 2 Calling a friend

Kevin:  Hi Jason, how are you today?

Jason:  Hey Kev, nice to hear from you. I am okay.

            What about you?

Kevin:  Yes, I am feeling ok. What are you doing?

Jason:  Talking to you of course :) . No, I am

cleaning my boat first and then I am painting it.

Kevin:  Why are you doing that? Is it necessary or has it

            got an awful colour?

Jason:  Not really, I am painting it the same colour. The

colour it has got now is coming off. That’s not good

for the boat, it needs protection from the water

and the sun. That is why I am doing all this work.

            And what are you doing?

Kevin:  I am just annoying my little brother because I am

bored. That is why I am calling you. Can we do

           something together?

Jason:  Oh yes, we can. First we can finish off the boat and

then we can go to the beach together. John and

Larry are practising for their show right now and

then they are coming to the beach as well.

Kevin:  That’s a good idea. I am coming over straight away.

My mum is smiling at me now, she’s happy that I

am not annoying Nick any more. My dad is working

at the moment so we can’t go on holiday this

            week.

Jason:  Have you got a snack for the beach?

Kevin:  Yes, I have. Have you got a drink then?

Jason:  Yes, I have. And I am taking some money with me.

Kevin:  Ok I am doing that too.

Jason:  Right. See you in half an hour.

Kevin:  Bye, see you later.
