CONVERSATION DONNA
A: Donna! Come on. Get out of bed. We have to leave in half an hour.
B: I don’t want to leave this early Mum.
A: I’m sorry darling. But the boys have to start school at 8.30.
B: I know but I only have lessons at 9.30. I always have to wait for a whole hour.
A: But you can do your homework at school, can’t you?
B: Of course I can. But I don’t want to. And I have already finished my work.
A: Then you will have to start revising for next Friday’s test.
B: Oh, I would so like to be eighteen!
A: Why? You are only fourteen, so that will take another 4 years.
B: Because then I can get my license and go to school whenever I want.
A: And whose car are you going to use then?
B: Dad’s car of course.
A: Keep dreaming darling.
B: Oh mum, I wanted to ask you something else. Do you mind if I stay at Anna’s next Friday? I think her mum will drive me back home on Saturday.
A: I don’t think that will be a problem. What are you going to do?
B: It’s Karen’s birthday and she is going to throw us a party.
A: Have you already bought a present for her?
B: We have discussed it but we haven’t decided yet. Probably we are going to buy something after school.
A: Alright. Don’t forget to take some money.
B: I won’t, thanks mum.
A: You’re welcome darling.
