CONVERSATION SHEET
A: Hi …. How are you?
B: I am fine, thanks. Nice to see you.
A: Likewise. I haven’t seen you for a long time.
B: I know. I have been out of the country for six months.
A: Really? Where have you been?
B: I have been in three different countries, Spain, France and Norway.
A: Why did you go there?
B: I went there because of my father’s job. He had to work in those countries for a few months.
A: Why didn’t you stay at home?
B: Because my mum also went with him. They thought it would be very good for me to go with them.
A: Why? Because now you missed 6 months of school.
B: Yes that’s true, but I had to do my schoolwork anyway. And I met lots of people in the places I lived. They could all speak English, so my English has really improved a lot.
A: Which country did you like most?
B: I liked Norway most. It’s a beautiful country and the Norwegians are really friendly. I have made a lot of friends there.
A: And what about Spain?
B: The Spanish weather was gorgeous, but the people I met were really easily agitated and impatient. But the French were quite calm and always polite and helpful.
A: When did you come back?
B: Only last Saturday, just in time for the test week. I hope I am going to do well and pass them all.
A: If you need my help, just ask and I will come over to your place.
B: Wow, that’s nice of you. Yes, please. I would really like to study a few subjects together.
A: When is a good time for you? Tomorrow evening?
B: Yes, shall we meet at 7 o’clock at my place.
A: OK, see you then.
B: Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it!
